President of Turkiye Diyanet Foundation at ZEST Project

January 25, 2020 Karachi: President of Turkiye Diyanet Foundation visited ZEST Schools Project. During his visit, he interacted with the students and teachers of ZEST schools to know about the learning process and outcomes of project being implemented to teach out of school children living in slums.

Mr. Ihsan Acik cut the ribbon to open TNW Community Centre where boys and girls are learning life skills, English language and basic computer. The community centre is also playing role to raise awareness amongst the uneducated community about health & hygiene and other related social issues.

Later on, he graced the ceremony arranged to appreciate teachers, students and community activists on their exceptional role in bringing out of school children in ZEST schools to complete their primary education in three years.

Mr. Muhammad Alam Thaheem (Director Literacy and Nonformal Education Department Government of Sind) and Talib Sheikh (Additional Director) also joined to acknowledge the work done by The NGO World. In his speech Mr. Alam Thaheem said that ZEST project has played a commendable role to educate the out of school children in slums.

Dr Muhammad Shahid ( Head of Social Work Department Karachi University) congratulated the project team on the successful implementation of project.

Mr. Zafar Iqbal (Chairman The NGO World) in his welcome speech delivered the note of thanks for generous support by donors and continued guidance & patronage from Directorate of Literacy and Nonformal Education Government of Sind.

Distinguished guests presented certificates and shields to the successful students, hardworking teachers and project team.
