Teachers of ZEST dignified

 

Karachi, October 5th 2017: TNW Foundation celebrated World Teacher’s Day in 100 ZEST schools being run in slum areas of Karachi to teach around 4000 out of school children mainly from Burmi community. The schools are running under ZEST Programme of TNW Foundation. The students of these schools, their parents and community members paid tribute to the ZEST teachers through different activities like, speech about World Teacher’s Day and role of teachers, dialogues, question answer sessions, role play, poems and national songs.

All the 100 teachers felt dignified after receiving so much of respect from their students. World Teachers’ Day, also known as International Teachers Day, is held annually on October 5th since 1994. Its aim is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.

Manager ZEST Schools Project appreciated the efforts of all the teachers and staff for such a nice celebration and discussed about importance of Teachers’ Day and gave feedback to all teachers and encouraged them for continuance of the exceptional work they are doing for the coming generation.
