Teachers Day at ZEST project celebrated with aim to contribute for SDG 4

 

October 5th 2017: ZEST project team of TNW celebrated World Teacher’s Day in 100 ZEST schools being run in slum areas of Karachi to teach around 4000 out of school children mainly from Burmi community. The schools are running under ZEST Programme of TNW Foundation. The students of these schools, their parents and community members paid tribute to the ZEST teachers through different activities like, speeches, role play, dialogues and poems. All the 100 teachers felt dignified after receiving so much of respect from their students.
Manager ZEST Schools Project appreciated the efforts of all the teachers and staff for such a nice celebration and discussed about importance of Teachers’ Day particularly its relevance to SDG 4 by UN. He encouraged them for continuance of the exceptional work they are doing for the coming generation and contribution for the achy of Global Goals.
